As much as Happiness Is A Skill is an outlet for me to share my ideas with others, it’s also a way for me to reflect on my own happiness accountability. Rather, sometimes I have to take my own advice.
This week, I am exhausted. Physically, I pushed my body to the limit over the past three weeks while I was competing in the CrossFit Open. Mentally, I am flush with work. As a freelancer, this is welcome (and rare!) but it also means I haven’t had a day off work since January. Emotionally, my personal and family life are both entwined in different sorts of grief and mess, so any downtime is spent trying to process all that.
Thus, I am pooped. I got nothin’ for you today, other than that I need to listen to my body and rest. So rest I shall. And if you need a rest (which I imagine you might), here are a few of the things I’ve been watching or using to decompress over the past few months.
